Online webinar “Actual problems of social pediatrics”

In the conditions of quarantine and pandemic of СOVID-19 Odessa Association of Pediatricians and Neonatologists together with the staff of the Department of Pediatrics №1 Odessa National Medical University continues the remote activities of the system of continuing professional education.
The regular meeting of the Odessa Association of Pediatricians and Neonatologists took place on April 15, 2020 in the form of an online seminar (webinar) and was devoted to the important topic “Actual problems of social pediatrics.”
The seminar was held simultaneously on the online platform ZOOM and live on Facebook. Thus, more than 750 neonatologists, pediatricians, therapists, family doctors, anesthesiologists and doctors of other specialties from different regions of Ukraine were able to see us.
The meeting was opened by the chairman of Odessa Association of Pediatricians and Neonatologists, Corresponding Member NAMS of Ukraine, Professor Ariaiev Mykola Leonidovych. Mykola Leonidovych spoke about the clinical manifestations of the syndrome of child abuse and its significance in the context of counteracting COVID-19. Features of coronavirus infection in children, problems of modern diagnosis and treatment were also discussed. The information was based on the latest policy materials of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, foreign studies and manuals, as well as the latest statistics of the world and Ukraine.
The second speaker – Associate Professor of Pediatrics #1, Kaplina Larysa Yevhenivna, presented a report on modern principles of pediatric nutrition. Students received the latest information about a balanced diet of healthy and sick young children.
At the end of the reports, the participants of the webinar had an opportunity to ask questions and receive comprehensive answers and talk.
At the end of the seminar, held on a free basis, participants passed a test and received electronic certificates confirming their participation in the online seminar.
