Valerii Zaporozhan signed orders to hold a student conference and student science days at ONMedU

On April 22 and 23, Odessa National Medical University will host days of student science and a conference for students and young scientists “Modern theoretical and practical aspects of clinical medicine.” The relevant orders were signed by the Rector of ONMedU, Chairman of the Academic Council of ONMedU, Academician Valerii Zaporozhan.

The program of events was presented at a meeting of the Academic Council, which took place remotely under the chairmanship of Valerii Zaporozhan. “Professional development of young doctors and scientists is our constant priority, because these specialists are the central link in the medical system as a whole. The importance of conferences in this context is difficult to overestimate, because it is an opportunity to show yourself, to share your views on a particular medical problem. At such events, connections are formed with colleagues, which usually last throughout our professional life, “said Valerii Zaporozhan.

The conference will be held on the Microsoft Teams platform and will be dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the birth of Ivan Volodymyrovych Savitskii – a prominent scientist and founder of the Odessa Biochemical Scientific School, who worked at Odessa University. A roundtable will also be held in his memory on April 22 at 3 p.m.

The conference featured 268 works by students and young scientists from ONMedU, as well as 66 works by participants from other cities of Ukraine, as well as from Kazakhstan, Belarus and other countries. “All departments of our university are involved and have already sent their works. The conference will be interdisciplinary, with a rich and meaningful program. I want to thank the student scientific society and the society of young scientists of our university, which for almost six months under the leadership of Professor O.G. Yushkivska have prepared this conference, as well as heads of departments – for proactive position and fruitful work in scientific circles, “said Rector Valerii Zaporozhan. .

In particular, the conference program includes a round table, 12 sectional meetings, 3 practical master classes with the use of simulation equipment, in particular on laparoscopic surgery, cardiopulmonary resuscitation of newborns, intubation of children of different ages.
