Recently, from 06.05.2025 to 05.06. 2025 on the basis of the memorandum of cooperation concluded between Odessa National Medical University and the International European University, the senior lecturer of the Department of Human Anatomy of ONMedU Antonova Natalia Anatoliivna received an invitation to exchange experience in teaching the discipline “Human Anatomy” to foreign students of the international medical faculty with teachers of the International European University.
The main office of this university is located in Kyiv, and the international faculty was located in Malta for the period of martial law. Thanks to the successful organization of the information process, the decoration of the educational institution and the high qualification of the staff, in a short time the university became widely known among students from European, African and Eastern countries. It was very interesting to get acquainted with the practical application of various modern computer technologies in the process of teaching such a morphological discipline as “Human Anatomy”.
Natalia Anatoliivna was impressed by the very pleasant and friendly atmosphere at the university, as well as the democracy in teaching methods. It was possible to try different approaches and evaluate the results. The dean of the faculty Alina Vasylivna Buzunar and the vice-rector for medical affairs Olesya Petrovna Gulchiy were very helpful and consulted in this process.
During her stay at the university, Natalia Anatoliivna conducted classes in academic groups for students of the 1st and 2nd years of the medical faculty in the specialty “Medicine”, for a total of 64 academic hours, which included lecture material, practical classes and knowledge control in the form of test control and practical skills.
She was pleasantly surprised by the speed of mastering modern innovative technologies by foreign students and their interest in their development. To study new material, the online library and 3D models of organs and systems were actively used, and to consolidate the material and self-control of knowledge – virtual simulation rooms.
Natalia Anatoliyevna Antonova took part in the preparation and holding of a student scientific conference with a visit to St. Thomas hospital under the leadership of Dr. Kristen Buhagiar (Malta), where future doctors were able to practically get involved in their future specialty.
