Representatives of ONMedU participated in the international workshop on digital transformation of medical education in Helsinki

Within the framework of the implementation of the Erasmus+ grant agreement “Digital Transformation for Medical Education in Ukraine ”, the third “Train the Trainers Workshop” was held at Laurea University of Applied Sciences (Helsinki, Finland) from October 6 to 10, 2025.

The goal of the project is to improve the pedagogical skills, professional competence and educational sustainability of teaching staff of Ukrainian universities in the context of the digital transformation of higher education.
The target group is teachers and students of four Ukrainian universities.
The project partners are: Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece), Bukovina State Medical University, O. O. Bogomolets National Medical University, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.

Odessa National Medical University was represented at the event by:

Kateryna Nitochko, Head of the Scientific Department;
Kateryna Usychenko, Head of the Education Quality Assurance Sector;
Tetyana Khimenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Propaedeutics of Pediatrics;
Maksym Shostak, Associate Professor of the Department of General, Pediatric and Military Surgery with a cycle of urology and ophthalmology.

During the week, participants discussed the issues of transformation of teaching in higher education, paying special attention to digital tools, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and sustainability of educational institutions. An important emphasis was placed on practical cases on the use of AI technologies in the educational process.
