A presentation of a mural project was held in the shelter of the pediatric department of the Multidisciplinary Medical Center of the Odessa National Medical University, which was implemented within the framework of the international initiative “Window to Peace”. The idea itself arose as a response to the need to transform the space of a bomb shelter — a place where children are forced to spend a lot of time due to air raids — into a safe, mentally warm environment. The initiative was implemented under the auspices of the United People of the Planet charity foundation with the support of the Embassy of Israel in Ukraine. In Odesa, the idea was realized thanks to the support of the medical university leadership. The first vice-rector of ONMedU, Valeria Marichereda, immediately responded to the proposal of the Israeli artist Zoya Sever and her like-minded people. It is thanks to this cooperation that the walls are not just paintings, but a full-fledged emotional space, filled with warmth and light, so necessary for young patients.
