Day of the Cossacks

On October 9, T.L. Podkupko, Phd,  Associate Professor of the Department of Social Sciences held a song flashmob “There is no End to Cossack People” with the second year students of group 11 and first year students of group 2, Faculty of Medicine.

A mini-quiz “Ukraine -the Homeland of the Cossacks”was held with the first year students of group 8, the Faculty of Dentistry On October 11.

Students showed keen interest a in the event, recited thematic poems and statements, learnt about the historical outline of the holiday. They studied and sang the songs “Cossack Riding to the Danube”, “Red Rute”. They also learned about the historical events that preceded the establishment of the Day of the Defender of Ukraine, the Cossacks Day as a state holiday, talked about the folk traditions and religious origins of the Feast of the Intercession.
