Project “We Know”: We Know What We Eat

In February 2025, the team of the Department of Propaedeutics of Pediatrics launched a series of educational events to implement the materials of the project “We know”: We Know What We Eat (https://znaimo.gov.ua) for students of secondary schools in Odessa and their parents.

The classes were attended by Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Propaedeutics of Pediatrics Tetyana Khimenko, Assistant Professor of the Department Anastasia Pirogova, 5th year higher education seekers of the Faculty of Medicine Morgunova Elizaveta, Velikova Maria, Overchuk Alina. More than 20 interactive classes have already been held for children aged 8 to 17 on healthy eating and lifestyle.

This time, our team visited Odessa Lyceum No. 122, whose students, at the time of the class, were in summer camp.

Interactive discussions of lecture materials and a game approach organically complemented the camp program. This contributed not only to the children having a good time at school, but also to the high-quality assimilation of materials on the topic of balanced nutrition.

Students learned what a balanced “plate of healthy food” looks like, which food groups are needed every day, and why it is important to eat right.

The Department of Propaedeutics of Pediatrics plans to continue conducting interactive training for children and parents of Odesa within the framework of the project “We Know: We Know What We Eat”.
