ONMedU continues the cycle of “Peer Trainers” seminars within the framework of the international project Erasmus+ UkraineDigiTrans

In May 2025, the first unique cycle of “Peer Trainers” seminars within the framework of the Erasmus+ UkraineDigiTrans project — “Digital Transformation of Medical Education in Ukraine” was held at Odessa National Medical University.

ONMedU teachers participate in the advanced training program “Pedagogical Mastery. Digital Technologies”, which aims to improve digital skills, pedagogical mastery and the implementation of modern technologies in teaching. 41 teachers from various departments of the university have already taken part in the course.

The program covers:

innovative teaching methods;

practical classes with digital tools;

development of skills in designing modern hybrid courses;

use of artificial intelligence, microlearning and online simulations;

ethical aspects of digital pedagogy and issues of educational sustainability.

The following thematic seminars were held during the course:

  1. Transformation of teaching in the 21st century: the new role of the teacher, digital challenges and the advantages of the Flipped classroom mode
  2. Pedagogical media and AI: creating podcasts and videos, practices of using artificial intelligence in the educational process.
    3. Interactive digital tools: using Menti, Miro, Forms; creating microcontent and online courses.
    4. Ethics of digital education: a safe educational environment, well-being and digital responsibility.
    5. Cybersecurity in healthcare and its pedagogical significance as the final focus of the course.All participants who successfully completed the training received certificates certifying the acquisition of new knowledge and digital pedagogical competencies.

This course is a significant contribution to the development of the digital transformation of medical education in Ukraine and confirms the leadership position of ONMedU in the implementation of modern educational practices.
