Valerii Zaporozhan opened the first meeting of the Academic Council of ONMedU in 2022

On January 31, the first meeting of the Academic Council in 2022 was held at Odessa National Medical University under the chairmanship of the Rector, Academician Valerii Zaporozhan.

Opening the meeting, Valerii Zaporozhan congratulated the participants on the beginning of fruitful work in the new year: “At the end of the year, we summed up the results and were satisfied with the results we were able to achieve together. Now we start the year with new strength, good mood and ambitious plans. I congratulate everyone on this and wish them creative inspiration and perseverance.”

The agenda included issues on the status and objectives of educational and national-patriotic work at the university, reports of heads of medical and preventive care departments, approval of the limit of scholarship holders who may be awarded an academic scholarship based on semester control, and approval of student government funding.

In addition, yesterday the Council considered the approval of one-time specialized councils for the defense of dissertations and for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy, reorganization of the economic department and the creation of the regime and security department, amendments to the educational program “Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy” and other current affairs.
