On October 1, 2021, a delegation from India visited Odessa National Medical University. In order to raise the awareness of Indian citizens about Odessa National Medical University and provide first-hand information about its educational programs, the following guests came to the university: Dr. Taliil Poduwal Sethumadhavan, a well-known blogger on education abroad India’s Alangattukaran and SANTA-MONICA partner Ajekal Mohamed Bashir Talib.
During the visit, the foreign guests met with the Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work, Dr. Med. Ph.D., Professor I.P. Shmakova and Dean of the International Faculty, Associate Professor E.S. Buryachkivsky. The Odessa side spoke about the educational programs of the university, about a strong base for the educational, scientific and medical process, about the differences of ONMedU from other medical institutions of Ukraine and the main directions of training foreign students.
“Our university has been teaching Indian students for decades. Almost all of them are disciplined, organized and have a great desire to acquire knowledge. We are glad that we are still interesting to the citizens of India, we are ready to continue accepting them for training, “Iryna Shmakova emphasized.
The ways of future long-term cooperation were discussed.
The members of the delegation were very interested in the simulation center and simulation classes equipped with high-tech simulators, which allow students to practice practical skills in all disciplines provided by the curriculum, even during the pandemic.
Foreign guests also visited the University History Museum, Anatomical and Pathological Museums.
And at the end of the visit, the guests from India met with their compatriots, students of ONMedU, who shared their impressions of studying at the university.
