Ambassador of India in ONMedU

On April 29, 2024, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Ukraine, Mr. Harsh Kumar Jain, visited Odesa National Medical University as part of a visit to Odesa.

On behalf of ONMedU, Mr. Ambassador was met by Eduard Stanislavovych Buryachkivskyi, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work, Olha Volodymyrivna Honcharenko, Dean of the International Faculty, Savchenko Iryna Valeriivna,  Rector’s Assistant for International Work, Elina Mykolaivna Mokriienko, Leading Specialist of the Department of International Educational Programs.

At the meeting, ONMedU staff informed Mr. Harsh Kumar Jain about the achievements of the university, the efforts made to continue the educational process and scientific activity during the war, the development of international work and security measures for the students and staff of the university. It was noted that foreign students, in particular students from India, are an integral part of our university community, they take an active part in student life.

Mr. Ambassador, in turn, expressed his concern about the consequences of terrorist acts that occurred in Odesa and thanked ONMedU for their dedication and good work. He emphasized the importance of international support for Ukraine in this difficult time.
The visit ended with a warm and lively meeting of the Ambassador and the Indian students.
