St. Nicholas in an Orphanage

The winter season is rich in warm family holidays – St. Nicholas Day, New Year, Christmas, etc. Perhaps it is St. Nicholas which is associated with gifts, aid and charity most of all.

It is not the first time when the activists of the trade union of students of ONMedU, with the assistance of the Public Council at the Southern Interregional Penitentiary Administration and the PO “Youth Center for Development”, visited the orphanage for children whose mothers are in the Black Sea Women’s Colony No. 74.

Every time students bring gifts for the kids, hygiene items and medicines they need. This visit was no exception. On the eve of the holiday in December 2017 activists of the trade union committee brought medicines, talked to the administration, and visited children’s groups. The chairman of the trade union committee Yevghen Mykhailyuk emphasized that medical students are eager volunteers and are pleased to work together to help those in need.
