On February 29, representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Odesa visited our university to discuss some of the challenges faced by healthcare facilities during the war.
A delegation consisting of the Representative of the Department of First Aid and Pre-hospital Aid, Mr. Sergio Israel Vazquez Betanzos and the specialist in medical issues, Mr. Pavel Zlotar, arrived at Odesa National Medical University to meet with the university management and inspect some of the educational facilities.
The department of simulation medical technologies made a great impression on the guests, which in the conditions of a mixed form of education allows students to train in ensuring the effective provision of medical services.
The delegation participated in a discussion with our first Vice-Rector, Professor Valeria Marichereda, to better understand the specific needs and challenges faced by the medical community. They also talked about possible ways of cooperation to ensure effective provision of medical services and humanitarian aid to the affected population.
