Rehabilitation management

Two years of war: Three million wounded. 200,000 Ukrainians were seriously injured, and in 10% of cases, limbs were amputated. At the beginning of the war, the main causes of amputations were injuries received during artillery and rocket attacks. Now, many are injured by mines planted along the front line and during drone attacks.

In Odesa, a discussion was held on issues related to physical and organizational and cultural barrier-freeness within the framework of providing professional assistance to victims of military aggression. The organizers of the event were specialists of the departments of physical rehabilitation, sports medicine and physical education and psychiatry, narcology, medical psychology and psychotherapy of ONMedU, as well as the NGO “Association for Rehabilitation Management”.
