In May 2022, sixth-year students of the medical and international faculties will take the objective structured clinical examination (OSCI), at which they will have to demonstrate mastery of practical skills.
The leadership of ONMedU has created all the necessary conditions to improve the quality of knowledge and skills of students. Preparations for the OSKI have been organized on the basis of the Training and production complex of innovative learning technologies, informaization, continuous studies and internal monitoring of the quality of education (TPC ILTICSIMQS) of ONMedU.
According to the head of the TPC ILTICSIMQS Yurii Petrovsky, each student has the opportunity with the help of teachers from different departments of the university to work out more than 60 practical skills on modern simulators. “I can note the interest and activity of students of all faculties. In almost two months, most students (68% domestic and 14% international students) have been trained at least once or more, and some have already used three possible skills. They, like us, are convinced that such training will help them to pass the OSCI at the highest level, “said Yurii Petrovsky.
Practical skills are also practiced at the departments having the appropriate simulation equipment – of obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine № 1, pediatric surgery, otorhinolaryngology, ophthalmology and pediatrics № 1.
