Meeting of the student scientific group of the department of propaedeutics of pediatrics

On September 25, 2024, the first meeting of the student scientific group of this academic year was held at the Department of Pediatrics Propedeutics. Dr. of Med. Sciences, professor Olena Oleksandrivna Starets congratulated the members of the group to the beginning of work.. The group’s work plan for the current year, directions of scientific research were discussed. The members of the group expressed their suggestions regarding the priority topics for the next meetings.

The assistant of the department, Svitlana Borisivna Chernysh, conducted an interactive session on the topic “Pediatric patient with skin rash: approaches to differential diagnosis and management tactics.” The topic is relevant and practically oriented, since a rash in children is a fairly frequent complaint, accompanies many infectious and non-infectious diseases, often has specific symptoms, which allows for effective timely diagnosis and choosing the right management tactics. The participants of the meeting analyzed 17 clinical cases, practiced diagnosing children with a rash, which contributed to the deepening of their knowledge.

The next meeting of the department’s circle will be on the topic “Modern approaches to the diagnosis and management of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in children. Counseling skills of families with neurodisabled children” will be held on October 15 at 2:30 p.m.
