September 30 is the All-Ukrainian Library Day. I congratulate all employees of the Odesa National Medical University library on this holiday!
A librarian like no other understands the important role of the temple of science in a person’s life and is always ready to accompany us, the readers, into the multifaceted world of books – a source of ancient wisdom and knowledge!
For more than 120 years, the library of our medical university has adequately fulfilled its mission of preserving knowledge accumulated over centuries for all of us, and at the same time provides access to modern high-quality academic resources, services and spaces. Despite the terrible trials that befell our country, the employees of our library actively contribute to the development of scientific and educational activities of the university.
Today we have such a developed digital world that it seems almost real, but still, nothing can replace a paper book: thick or thin, new, with the smell of printing ink or old, in a fragile binding.
Dear our librarians, may the library never lose its popularity and always remain the place where you want to come, where it is always interesting and exciting! I wish you good health, longevity, family comfort, family warmth, friendly understanding and support. I wish for new initiatives, interesting perspective projects while fulfilling my professional duty. May your work always enjoy deserved respect in society and find a worthy response in human hearts! Huge thanks and gratitude to all library employees for their selfless work for the development of Odesa National Medical University!
Happy holiday!
