Let’s be healthy!

Today, on April 7, is World Health Day. It was timed to the day of adoption of the charter of the World Health Organization in 1948 – 75 years ago. During this time, 194 countries of the world became members of the WHO.
This day has been celebrated since 1950 and each year is dedicated to a separate theme. This year’s theme is “Health for All”.
This problem is especially relevant for the residents of Ukraine, where the war has been going on for the second year. How to maintain normal not only physical condition, but also mental and emotional balance, lead a healthy lifestyle, prevent the development of this or that disease are important questions for everyone.
World Health Day is an occasion to remind once again how important it is to take care of yourself, avoid bad habits, exercise, eat healthy food, breathe clean air, and drink clean water. This is exactly what doctors should actively promote by their example!
For example, Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko starts his day with sports, regardless of weather and mood. Morning jogs, coffee without sugar, seasonal flu vaccination.
And the rector of Odesa National Medical University, Valerii Zaporozhan, not only exercises in the morning, but also systematically visits the gym.
Valerii Mykolayovych believes that a doctor should be a role model for his patient, even with his appearance. Therefore, he calls on students, teachers, and graduates of our University not only to promote a healthy lifestyle, but also to show by example that healthy habits are the basis of a healthy life.
For someone, health means jogging every morning in the park, at the stadium or on the Health Track, for another – visiting the swimming pool or fitness room, disciplined vaccination against infectious diseases, for the third – hiking or tourism.
The main thing is to realize that health is an invaluable gift of nature that gives strength, inspiration, opportunities to realize our plans and dreams, work successfully, make a career, create a family, overcome any difficulties.
So let’s be healthy!
