On April 18-20, 2024, the XVI annual scientific and practical conference with international participation “The latest technologies in pediatric science, practice, family medicine and education” was held, dedicated to the memory of academician of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine B.Ya. Reznik As always, Odesa National Medical University acted as the host of the conference, the preparation of the program and the holding of the conference were carried out by the Department of Pediatrics in close coordination with the Department of Health Care of the Odesa Regional State Administration and the Department of Health Care of the Odesa City Council.
This year, more than 4,000 listeners registered for the conference. Reports were given by such well-known specialists as a member-corespondent of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine M.L. Ariaiev , a member-corespondent of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Volosovets O.P., professors: Abaturov O.E., Beketova G.V., Lezhenko G.O., Kryuchko T.O., Kryvopustov S.P., Nyankovskyi S.L., Yablon O.S. , Shadrin O.H., Belousova O.Yu., Sorokman T.V., Vysochyna I.L., Ovcharenko L.S., Starets O.O., Velychko V.I., Melnychenko M.H. etc.
M.L. Aryaev opened the conference. The participants were addressed with a welcome speech by the Rector of ONMedU, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, prof. V.M. Zaporozhan; the first vice-rector of ONMedU, prof. V.H. Marichereda; a member-corespondent of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Medicine, Professor, Doctor of Science of Ukraine, Deputy Chairman of the Academic Medical Council of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine O. P. Volosovets; acting Director of the Department of Health Protection of Odesa Regional State Administration O.M. Rokunets-Sorochan; Head of the Department for Maternal and Childhood Protection of the Department of Health Protection of the Odesa City Council H. P. Luniova
In the reports of a member-corespondent of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine M. L. Aryaev and a member-corespondent of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Volosovets O.P. a lot of attention was paid to the establishment, development and modern work of Odesa Pediatric School and Odesa Association of Pediatricians and Neonatologists. A group of researchers from the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy named after M. Testemitsanu, led by the leading specialist and head of the Pediatric Service of Moldova, Professor Ninel Revenko, took part in the conference. This year, a section devoted to current issues of immunoprophylaxis was introduced. At this section, the issues of vaccination in Ukraine and abroad were considered, and a report was made by a doctor from Israel, Natalia Wilner. The main scientific vector of the conference was the discussion of topical issues of pediatric care in Ukraine for the further implementation of modern technologies in practice.
Before the conference, a workshop for doctors “Reznikov readings – pre-conference” was held. Its subject is applied aspects of modern pediatrics and innovative aspects of pediatric practice. 37 reports were made at the pre-conference. The conference was held in the form of main sectional meetings on the prevention, diagnosis and rational pharmacotherapy of pulmonological, allergic, immunological, endocrinological, cardiological, gastroenterological, hematological, infectious, hereditary and metabolic diseases in children. The scientific and practical session, devoted to the current problems of pediatrics and neonatology, included 53 reports. As always, there was also a panel session, which was devoted to the topical issues of diagnosis and therapy of diseases in children and included 27 reports.
Thanks to the online format, the conference was watched live on YouTube and viewed on the record more than 8 thousand times. The participants received answers to their questions asked in the chat, passed a test, filled out the questionnaire and are waiting for certificates, according to order No. 446 of 02/22/2019, for 10 points of continuous professional development of doctors.
