Visit of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to ONMedU

On November 25, as part of a visit to  Odesa region, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova NGUYEN HONG THACH met with the leadership of  Odesa National Medical University. The delegation, which was accompanied by representatives of the Ukrainian Culture Fund, Odesa Regional Peace Council and well-known public figures, was met by the rector of ONMedU, Academician of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine Valerii Zaporozhan.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary emphasized that Ukraine and Vietnam have long-standing mutual relations, and expressed support for the Ukrainian people who are suffering from Russian aggression. NGUYEN HONG THACH highly appreciates the achievements of Odesa Higher Education Institution in the field of science, the system of providing training programs and postgraduate education and expressed hope that such cooperation will be continued in the near future.

For his part, Valerii Zaporozhan emphasized that Odesa National Medical University is one of the leading European educational institutions of our country and the only one in Ukraine that received international institutional accreditation of the Independent Accreditation and Rating Agency, which guarantees recognition of diplomas for further education of graduates, convertibility of qualifications, expansion of employment opportunities and demand in the global market of medical services. The result of the discussion was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation.
