Camp “Medic” is located at Odesa, Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya Street, 5 (Chornomorka) on a 3.6-hectare plot of land owned by the university. The camp building was put into operation in 1957. Since 2017, the camp has not been operating due to the poor condition of the infrastructure and capital construction facilities. “We plan to restore the camp and build a modern building, where lectures, scientific and educational conferences, seminars and other events could be held. The goal is to turn “Medic” into a modern year-round base for studies, research and recreation,” Valerii Zaporozhan said.
The concept also envisages the construction of new 1-2-storey buildings for students and teachers, as well as participants in multi-day events. It is planned to equip a club-dining room, a summer theater, sports grounds, a swimming pool, administrative buildings and an economic zone. Work on the restoration of the camp “Medic” will begin after the development and approval of design work.
