On December 3, in the lecture hall of the 1st surgical department of the ONMedU Multidisciplinary Medical Center and in the conference hall at Olgiivska, 13, meetings of representatives of the International Humanitarian Organization for Demining “The Halo Trust” with higher education seekers and employees of the university were held on a topic that is relevant not only for the military during wartime.
Unfortunately, there are quite a few accidents related to explosive devices in our country, so the goal of today’s event is to remind those present about how to behave in emergency situations in the event of mining and the presence of explosive objects.
During the lectures, the audience learned about: explosive and suspicious objects that are most common in Ukraine; safety measures in case of finding such objects; signs and markings of dangerous areas, rules of conduct; what to do if a person finds himself in a potentially dangerous area.
According to the Director of the Multidisciplinary Medical Center, Oleg Podust, and Vice-Rector, Eduard Buryachkivsky, the meetings were informative, useful, and interesting. They hope that students and staff of the institution will not encounter explosive devices, and if they do, they will know how to act correctly in such a situation.
