Dear scientists, graduate students, doctoral students!

The partner organization Linda Hall Library (Kansas City, Missouri, USA) announced the acceptance of applications for graduate students and doctoral students for Linda Hall Library scholarships in 2024-2025, which includes an additional opportunity for Ukraine

These fellowships provide graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and independent researchers with financial support to study the Library’s outstanding scholarly collections. Fellows can also participate in a dynamic intellectual life with experts and scholars from other Kansas City cultural and educational institutions.

Linda Hall Library holds nearly half a million monographs and more than 43,000 journal titles documenting the history of science and technology from the 15th century to the present.

Linda Hall Library  also offers several fellowships. Intended for certain groups of researchers, in particular:

  • History of Science and Medicine Fellowship (in partnership with the Clendening History of Medicine Library at the University of Kansas Medical Center. This fellowship provides one month of funding ($3,000 per month) to a doctoral student whose research focuses on common links of science and practical medicine.
    Linda Hall Library offers residential fellowships to support on-site research in Kansas City, as well as virtual fellowships for scholars working remotely using the library’s digital materials. In any case, applicants can request up to four months of funding at a rate of $3,000 per month for postdoctoral fellows and $4,200 per month for postdoctoral fellows.
