Collaboration of ONMedU with Queen Mary University of London, Great Britain

Almost a year ago, Odesa National Medical University joined the program of  Ukrainian universities support called “Twinning”, introduced by Cormack Consultancy Group (Great Britain) in partnership with the National Representation of Universities of Great Britain.

According to the concept of this program, a Ukrainian university becomes a sister university of a university in Great Britain, the USA, Canada or the EU of a similar profile, size and level of education.

The international partner undertakes to support the Ukrainian institution of higher education for at least 5 years.

Advisor to the President of Ukraine on issues of the Presidential Fund for the Support of Education, Science and Sports, Olha Budnyk noted: “We consider Charles Cormack’s Twinning initiative to be very promising. The idea of starting a program to support the partnership of our university with a higher education institution of a similar profile in Great Britain as a reliable partner will contribute to the improvement of the quality of higher education in both universities, the exchange of experience, as well as the recognition of opportunities for future development and the creation of a positive space for research and new ideas.”

The famous Queen Mary University of London, Great Britain became a twin of ONMedU. This university was founded in 1785. It has 9 Nobel laureates, 32,000 students study there. Currently, the university is very active in supporting Ukraine.
