Dear compatriots, colleagues, students, all Christians of the Eastern rite. I sincerely congratulate you on the Bright Resurrection of Christ.
This year we celebrate Easter with pain for the country, our relatives and all our Ukrainian people. It is a pity for all Ukrainians who will not gather with their families at the holiday table today because the bloody war of aggression has divided families and separated children from their parents. At the same time, faith, love and hope in our hearts are stronger today than ever. Easter symbolizes the salvation of the world, the victory of life over death, light over darkness, and freedom over slavery. These values have always been professed by our people – wise, peaceful and very courageous.
In our prayers, we ask God for peace for our country, protection for the sons and daughters of Ukraine who defend our land, and our right to live and be free. We ask for help and God’s grace for those who in these dark times heal, teach, save, sow, work, and approach victory. For all adults and children of Ukraine and the whole free world.
Dear Ukrainians! I wish you a speedy victory and lasting peace. I wish you good health, happiness and family comfort in our God-given land. We are strong and united. We will survive and rebuild our country. Evil will never prevail as long as love is in our hearts. Happy Easter! Christ is Risen! He is Risen Indeed!
Sincerely, Rector of ONMedU,
Academician Valerii Zaporozhan
