The last week of September was marked by an outstanding event for the community of specialists in sports medicine and physical rehabilitation, those who are interested in a healthy lifestyle, physical activity, sports and physical education.
The Department of Physical Rehabilitation, Sports Medicine, Physical Education and Valeology of our university under the leadership of Professor Olha Yushkivska traditionally prepared and held the XX anniversary international scientific-practical conference dedicated to the 120th anniversary of ONMedU “Modern achievements in physical education 2020 and physical education »
This professional meeting took place this year in the so-called “hybrid” mode due to the existing epidemic threat. The vast majority of reports were made online on the Microsoft Teams platform, experts from Odessa took part in the event in real time in the conference hall of the department.
On the second day of the conference there was another unprecedented scientific and practical event – ALL-UKRAINIAN SYMPOSIUM ON SCANDINAVIAN WALKING WITH INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPATION, where specialists had an opportunity to exchange experience in the use of Scandinavian physiotherapy for patients with visual impairments, overweight and others.
Thus, for two days of hard work 320 doctors, physical therapists, rehabilitation specialists, teachers and athletes had an opportunity to get acquainted with 46 reports, including lectures by leading professors, practical workshops, research results of specialists from different parts of Ukraine and abroad. Following the conference, a collection of about 100 abstracts was published.
It is especially desirable to note the technical support of the conference broadcast by the specialists of the information and computer center of ONMedU, which allowed to hold it at the appropriate modern level.
