On April 26, 2024, ONMedU employees took part in an interactive event: “The Magical World of Pysanka Eggs” on the .Pasteur St., 11.

The organizers were the first vice-rector of ONMedU, doctor of medicine, prof. Valeria Marichereda, prof. of the Department of Management, Doctor of Economics, Prof. Viktoriya Borshch, Department of Social Sciences of ONMedU (Head, PhD, Associate Professor Olha Sikorska), Department of Hygiene and Medical Ecology, ONMedU (Head of Doctor of Medicine, Prof. Volodymyr Babienko), Odesa Regional Center of Ukrainian Culture (Director Valentina Vitos).

First, the participants listened to a lecture-presentation “The Magical World of Easter Eggs: Types, Signs, Symbols, Colors” (lecturer – Dr. Tetyana Podkupko, Associate Professor of the Department of Social Sciences). We learned about the history of Pysanka, the features and meanings of colors and patterns, learned about the meaning of ornaments, and their diversity in the regions of Ukraine. The lecture ended with an interactive quiz using the Kahut platform. The winners received thematic souvenirs.

After the lecture, a master class was held by the staff of the Odesa Regional Center of Ukrainian Culture on painting Easter eggs. The participants were facilitated, explained and inspired by Antonina Dymov, head of the department of decorative and applied arts, Tamara Biloglazova, the leading methodologist of the department for questions and protection of intangible cultural heritage, Svitlana Kucherenko, head of the department of folk creativity, folklore and ethnography.

Employees of ONMedU plunged into a vortex of creative inspiration in preparation for the bright holiday of rebirth, spring, eternity and love – Easter! We thank the organizers and participants for incredible impressions, mood, emotions!
