On September 30, the first meeting on academic integrity for postgraduate students and young scientists of ONMedU took place.
Professor, doctor of medicine, head of the department of phthisiopulmonology Matsehora Nina Anatoliivna gave a lecture on the topic “Code of academic integrity, its principles and basis of provisions”. Professor, Doctor of Philosophy, head of the department of philosophy and bioethics Volodymyr Borysovych Khanzhi explained what academic integrity is. An interesting report “Plagiarism and academic plagiarism: causes of occurrence and ways to avoid them” was delivered by a.i. Professor of the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacognosy, Doctor of Medicine Petro Borisovych Antonenko. Honoured worker of science and technology of Ukraine, the best inventor of Ukraine, laureate of the award named after O. L. Chyzhevsky in biophysics for a significant contribution to the development of brain stimulation methods, Professor, Doctor of Medicine, Head of the Department of Biophysics, Informatics and Medical Equipment, Leonid Semenovych Godlevsky delivered a lecture on “Adherence to the principles of bioethics in scientific research.”
After listening to the material, all those interested had an opportunity to ask their questions and get detailed answers to them. The word was also given to the professor, Doctor of Medicine. Ph.D., head of the department of physical rehabilitation, sports medicine, physical education and valeology, scientific director of SSS and YoSS of ONMedU Olha Hennadiivna Yushkivska and postgraduate student of the department of obstetrics and gynecology, assistant of the department of simulation medical technologies, chairman of the Council of Young Scientists Andrii Leonidovych Dobrovolskii, who spoke about the organization of work of young scientists of the university, the structure of the Council of young scientists, the directions of the Council’s work and the composition of the Council of Young Scientists for 2022-2023.
In the future, regular meetings with young scientists on issues of academic integrity are planned.
