The first meeting of the student research group on clinical anatomy in the 2024/2025 academic year

Does anyone think anatomy isn’t interesting? That dissection is an outdated method of studying anatomy? That all students are afraid of the large volume and complexity of the anatomy textbook? So – meet! On Wednesday, October 23, 70 students of the I-III years of the medical and dentistry faculties of our university met at the first meeting of the student research group on clinical anatomy in the 2024/2025 academic year!

Dmytro Arabadzhi and Nazar Sholoh proved to everyone present that at the department of human anatomy, in addition to education, there are other important things for future doctors that can be done with enthusiasm and pleasure! The meeting began with a presentation on the history of the creation of the first anatomical preparations and their manufacturing techniques. Nazar Sholoh also talked about his own achievements in the technique of restoration work.

And the highlight of the meeting was a master class on the restoration of preparations, when everyone had the opportunity to examine them, find some anatomical formations (with particular joy those that have already managed to study in practical classes!) and practice the technique of using the main tools of a novice anatomist – a scalpel and tweezers .

No one wanted to leave, so the discussion of organizational points regarding the further work of the group ended at 5:30 p.m.

Sincere thanks to our experienced students Dmytro Arabadzha, Nazar Sholokh, Yaroslav Derevyaghin, those who teach and support them in research work – senior teachers of the Department of Human Anatomy Svitlana Chebotaryova, Olha Antsut, Oleksandr Urs, Pylyp Matyushenko and the higher education seekers who strive to be the best, and ready to work regardless of today’s challenges!

There will be more! The next meeting of the student scientific group of the Department of Human Anatomy is scheduled for October 28. The topic of the meeting is “Features of primary surgical treatment of soft tissue wounds of various etiologies.”
