Scientific-practical Conference “Actual Issues of Continuity of Patient Management with Multimorbid Pathology of Internal Organs in the Context of the Health Care System Reforming “.

On April 25-26, 2019, the Department of Internal Medicine № 2 of ONMedU in partnership with the Association of Family Medicine of Odessa region and the regional Health Protection Department held a scientific and practical conference “Actual Issues of Continuity of Patient Management with Multimorbid Pathology of Internal Organs in the Context of the Health Care System Reforming ” in the conference hall of the hotel complex “Odessa”. The conference is included in the “Register of congresses, congresses, symposiums and scientific-practical conferences, which will be held in 2019”, approved by the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine and approved by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, No. 160.
The conference is devoted to the urgent issues of diagnostics and treatment of patients with comorbid and multimorbid pathology of internal organs in terms of effective interaction between doctors of different specialties in the current conditions of reforming the health care system of Ukraine.
More than 150 delegates from Odesa, Odesa, Mykolaiiv and Kherson regions took part in the conference. 20 speakers from different scientific and higher educational medical institutions of Ukraine reported. The reports were devoted to the discussion of issues of continuity and effective interaction of doctors of different specialties in the treatment of a patient with multimorbid pathology of internal organs in the context of reforming the health care system and presented in the format of 3 problem lectures, 2 master classes on the clinical evaluation of patients with comorbid and multimorbid pathology. Each of the formats contained a demonstration of sound clinical and pharmacological approaches to optimize medical treatment programs, in particular, the choice of dosage regimen, the evaluation of the effectiveness and safety of the use of drugs of different classes. Delegates took an active part in the work of the conference – practically every report was accompanied by lively discussions, questions and answers.
Already traditionally a separate section at the conference was dedicated to the reports of young scientists from Odessa, Kharkiv and Kherson.
A collection of conference materials has been published, which contains 28 theses of experts and young scientists from different cities of Ukraine.
At the end of the conference, all participants were offered an excursion to familiarize themselves with the innovative technologies of the Center for Reconstructive and Rehabilitation Medicine (University Clinic) of ONMedU.
All the conference participants received certificates.
The outcome of the conference was the adoption of a resolution, the key points of which are:
1. To continue studying and professionally discussing the urgent issues of diagnosis and treatment of patients with comorbid and multiborbid pathology of internal organs in the view of the effectiveness of interaction between doctors of different specialties in the current conditions of reforming the health care system of Ukraine. The results are to be presented at the next V annual scientific and practical conference on optimizing the management of comorbid conditions in modern clinical practice, April 2-3, 2020.
2.Toi the organization of medical care for patients with comorbid and multimorbid pathology of internal organs through the development of algorithms for the correct interaction of specialists in the treatment of such patients, taking into account current standards, but with the maximum individualization of treatment approaches to prevent polypharmacy.
3. To include in the program of the following conferences participation of domestic and foreign specialists of the related specialties.
4. To continue the tradition of holding a satellite symposium dedicated to the results of scientific research of young scientists within the framework of the conference
