The 2024-2025 academic year at Odesa National Medical University will begin on September 1, 2024. The corresponding decision was made at the meeting of the Council of Rectors of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, which took place on June 24, 2024.
Considering the acute situation in the energy sector, which has developed due to the strikes of the Russian Federation on critical infrastructure, it is important to find solutions that would take these factors into account and at the same time ensure the proper quality of the educational process. Therefore, in order to optimize the educational process, it is planned to consolidate the study schedule, extend the winter vacation, extend the educational process until the end of July 2025, and use Saturdays as working days (if necessary).
Institutions of higher education that belong to the sphere of administration of the Ministry of Health not only provide theoretical training to students, but also ensure that they acquire practical (clinical) skills on the basis of medical institutions, which, like the entire country, currently work in difficult energy conditions. Optimization of educational programs will allow to reduce the number of working days in the winter period, and therefore will reduce the load on the energy system.
Currently, the educational process is being considered in both traditional (auditory) and mixed (auditory-distance) formats. This will make it possible not to interrupt studies in conditions of energy instability.
Decisions regarding the training format will be made taking into account the energy supply and the current situation in the country
Odessa National Medical University is prepared for the new autumn-winter period, taking into account the possibilities of a flexible schedule of the educational process and the involvement of alternative energy sources.
