Odessa National Medical University continues its successful cooperation with Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) within the framework of the “Twinning – Partnerships” program.

At the end of April 2025, 4th-year students of the Faculty of Medicine of our university Margarita Budanova and Elizaveta Pelekhovich completed their 4-week clinical practice in London.

We are happy to share with you the unforgettable experience and impressions of the girls.

“Having a unique opportunity to practice in one of the leading hospitals in England – the Royal London Hospital, we gained invaluable clinical and cultural experience.
This was not only an important stage in our professional development, but also a source of inspiration for further development.
We were most impressed by the organization of the work of the medical staff: a clear division of responsibilities, mutual respect between colleagues, openness to discussing clinical cases. Teamwork functions at a high level, which has a positive impact on both the atmosphere in the team and the quality of medical care.
The high level of culture of communication with patients was particularly impressive – friendliness, responsiveness and professional ethics were noticeable at every stage of interaction.
Also noteworthy is the widespread introduction of modern digital technologies into daily practice – in particular, the use of electronic medical records, which significantly increases the efficiency of patient care and reduces the risk of errors.

We are sincerely grateful for this opportunity. Such experience motivates us to improve Ukrainian medicine, in particular by introducing modern technologies, improving the culture of teamwork and communication with patients.

We hope that such internship programs will become more accessible to young specialists from Ukraine – this is an investment in our future.
