The MOH reports:
In Ukraine, 5 397 new cases of COVID-19 coronavirus disease have been recorded- it is a new abysmal record in the number of infected people registered per day.
According to the CSH, as of 9:00 am on October 8, 2020 there are 244 734 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ukraine, including 4 690 lethal, 108 233 patients have recovered. During the day, 5 397 new cases have been recorded. A total of 2 489 702 PCR tests have been performed. 2 263 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours.
Currently, coronavirus disease has been detected in:

▪ Volyn region – 9 199 cases;
▪Dnipropetrovsk region – 7 994 cases;
▪ Donetsk region – 5 118 cases;
▪ Zhytomyr region – 7 457 cases;
▪ Zakarpattia region – 10 473 case;
▪Zaporizhzhia region – 5 007 cases;
▪ Ivano-Frankivsk region – 14 693 cases;
▪ Kirovograd region – 1 234 cases;
▪City of Kiev – 25 896 cases;
▪ Kyiv region – 10 490 cases;
▪ Lviv region – 21 923 cases;
▪Lugansk region – 1 480 cases;
▪Mykolaiv region – 4 154 cases;
▪Odessa region – 15 704 cases;
▪Poltava region – 3 685 cases;
▪Rivne region – 13 798 cases;
▪Sumy region – 6 197 cases;
▪Ternopil region – 14 979 cases;
▪Kharkiv region – 22 712 cases;
▪ Kherson region – 1 636 cases;
▪ Khmelnitsky region – 7 473 cases;
▪Chernivtsi region – 15 757 cases;
▪Cherkasy region – 5 153 cases;
▪Chernihiv region – 5 066 cases.
Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are missing.
The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory and also by regional laboratories. On October 08, 2020, the Centre received 5 790 reports of suspected COVID-19. A total of 312 837 COVID-19 suspicion reports have been received since the beginning of 2020.
