The MOH reports:
In Ukraine, 6 719 new cases of COVID-19 coronavirus disease have been recorded – it is a new abysmal record in the number of infected people registered per day.
According to the CSH, as of 9:00 am on October 21, 2020 there are 315 826 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ukraine, including 5 927 lethal, 132 219 patients have recovered. During the day, 6 719 new cases have been recorded. A total of 2 880 105 PCR tests have been performed. 2 686 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours.
Currently, coronavirus disease has been detected in:
▪ Vinnytsia region – 8 644 cases;
▪ Volyn region – 11 367 cases;
▪Dnipropetrovsk region – 11 705 cases;
▪ Donetsk region – 7 629 cases;
▪ Zhytomyr region – 10 634 cases;
▪ Zakarpattia region – 12 112 case;
▪Zaporizhzhia region – 6 784 cases;
▪ Ivano-Frankivsk region – 17 214 cases;
▪ Kirovograd region – 1 697 cases;
▪City of Kiev – 31 869 cases;
▪ Kyiv region – 13 419 cases;
▪ Lviv region – 25 702 cases;
▪Lugansk region – 2 686 cases;
▪Mykolaiv region – 6 256 cases;
▪Odessa region – 19 957 cases;
▪Poltava region – 6 880 cases;
▪Rivne region – 16 428 cases;
▪Sumy region – 9 509 cases;
▪Ternopil region – 17 970 cases;
▪Kharkiv region – 30 272 cases;
▪ Kherson region – 2 739 cases;
▪ Khmelnitsky region – 11 561 cases;
▪Chernivtsi region – 18 314 cases;
▪Cherkasy region – 7 314 cases;
▪Chernihiv region – 7 164 cases.
Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are missing.
The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory and also by regional laboratories. On October 21, 2020, the Centre received 7 216 reports of suspected COVID-19. A total of 386 531COVID-19 suspicion reports have been received since the beginning of 2020.
