On June 24, 2019, at 10.00 the last meeting of the Academic Council of ONMedU took place in this academic year. There were seven issues on the agenda.
As a result of the vote, the candidates selected for the competition were approved unanimously:

– associate professor of the Department of Dermatology and Venereology – assoc. prof. Oschanina I.V.
– associate professor of the Department of Children’s Infectious Diseases – assoc. prof. Movlianova N.V.
– associate professor of the Department of General Practice – assoc. prof. Kovalchuk L.I.
– associate professor of the Department of Pediatrics № 1 – assoc. prof. Tsiunchik Yu.G.,
– associate professor of the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology – assoc. prof. Goriachev P.I.,

Also , the vote on the award of the academic title of an associate professor at the Department of Physiology to Ph.D. Boyko Yu. O. was positive.
On the second issue, “On the awarding Peter Vaupel, a Professor of the Department of Tumor Pathophysiology of the Department of Radiology and Radiotherapy at the University Medical Center of Mainz (Mainz, Germany), the title of a Visit-Professor of the Odessa National Medical University” a.i. Vice-rector on scientific and pedagogical (international) work, prof. Tarabrin O. O. made a report. His detailed and vivid story about Peter Vaupel as to assigning him the title of a Visit-Professor of ONMedU arose no objections. Approved unanimously.
After the reports of the Chairmen of the Examination Committees on the relevant specialties and their deputies – prof. Lebediuk M.M. – “General Medicine”, prof. Goncharuk S.F. – “Pediatrics”, prof. Shapovalova M.V. – ” General Medicine (International Fac.)”, Prof. Labunets V.A. – “Dentistry”, prof. Gromovik B.P. – “Pharmacy”, Dr. of Psychol. Sc. Kirieieva Z.O. – “Practical Psychology” – the results of state graduation examinations were approved at medical, dental and international faculties. As noted by all the speakers, students showed a fairly high level of theoretical and practical training, the general trend is an increase in excellent and good grades.
About the reorganization of the structure of the university in 2019/2020 academic year by means of amalgamation or division of some departments a.i. vice-rector on scientific and pedagogical (educational) work, prof. Shmakova I.P. made a report. She also proposed a new edition of the “Regulations on the organization of the students’ educational process at Odessa National Medical University”, which was approved by the Academic Council unanimously. In addition, the list of graduates of the ONMedU, who were recommended for scientific work in the postgraduate study, as well as the list of students recommended for obtaining scholarship nominations, was approved.
Also, the project of “Regulations on the University Clinic and its Structure” was approved, a.i. Vice-rector on scientific and pedagogical (medical) work, prof. Son A. S. reported on this issue.
At the end of the Academic Council, the head of the Academic Council, V. Z. Zaporozhan, and a.i. Rector of ONMedU Yu. V. Sukhin made their reports. They congratulated all those present to the end of the academic year – the most complicated one in recent times, thanking colleagues for understanding the uneasy situation prevailing at the university, their resilience and endurance in the struggle to preserve the integrity of alma mater and diligent work. Thanks to our professors, the ONMedU rating in passing “Krok” test exams and final state exams has improved.
Unfortunately, today the university is not able to carry out repairs in it all premises, but the administration with the support of all employees will make every effort to solve this problem and unlock payment for repairs, procurement of medicines, necessary equipment, and financing of the university clinics.
