In 2021, ONMedU will continue major repairs and technical equipment of departments

Improving working and studying conditions, as well as material and technical equipment of departments remains a constant priority of Odessa National Medical University. This was discussed at a meeting of the Academic Council, which took place on December 10 under the chairmanship of Academician Valerii Zaporozhan.
Natalia Kadebska, the head of the planning and economic department, said that for objective reasons, not all the work planned for this year had been completed in full. In particular, due to a significant extension of the deadlines for obtaining permits for repair work, reducing revenues to the special fund due to the reduction of the contingent of students studying on a contractual basis, and so on.
“Currently, there is a need under certain agreements with design and construction organizations to extend the terms of work and postpone them to the next 2021, to re-announce public procurement,” – said Natalia Kadebska.
The Academic Council approved the allocation of funds from the special fund within the projected balance for the purchase of medical equipment, instruments, tools to complete the equipment of departments, preparation of design estimates, overhauls and restoration works, as well as the introduction of electronic document management, automated workplaces, etc.
