Discussion club 07.04.21

Dear students and teachers of our University!

On Wednesday, April 7, 2021, on the basis of the university platform Microsoft Teams, another Discussion club event took place on the topic: “V – FOR VIOLENCE: DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, CHILD ABUSE, GENDER DISCRIMINATION-IDENTIFICATION AND PREVENTION”.

The event began with welcoming words and interpretation of the main terms of the event by Dobrovolskii A.L. Many important issues of today are considered, in particular “Discrimination in the family: the fate of mother and child”, “Racial discrimination: on the wave of BLM”, discrimination at the university.

Simultaneously with the consideration of these subtopics, students actively shared cases from their own lives, experiences of their families, employees, countries, etc. Among the most active participants we would like to mention Suresh Gopika, Ibrahim Oday, Siman Manar.

The team of experts was represented by teachers of departments of internal medicine # 3 Tretyachenko Yu.V. and orthodontics – Kordonets O.L. and Al-Serarate M.K.

ONMedU students and the staff were reminded that they have the opportunity to freely notify the responsible authorities of the University in cases of conflict related to oppression, sexual harassment, corruption and other forms of discrimination.

The need for regular meetings on this topic was also stressed, because only in a friendly atmosphere and random discussion such problems are revealed.
