Dear friends!
Every year on May 5, Midwives Day is celebrated all over the world.
The history of midwifery began before our era. And today, as many centuries ago, obstetricians are necessary when a baby is born. A midwife is an indispensable assistant to a doctor in a maternity hospital. She is entrusted with many functions, the scrupulous performance of which depends on the quality of childbirth. As an obstetrician-gynecologist who has spent more than a dozen years in the delivery room, I am sure that when the doctor is accompanied by an experienced and responsible midwife, everything will be fine.
From the Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Ukraine, Odesa National Medical University and myself, I personally congratulate all midwives on their professional holiday!
We sincerely thank you that every day you carefully hold a new life in your hands and make hundreds of mothers in Ukraine happy!
May you be loved and appreciated at work, at home and in every family!
Good luck to you!
Sincerely, President of the Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Ukraine,
Rector of ONMedU academician Valerii Zaporozhan
