Every year on the third Saturday of September, Surgeon’s Day is celebrated in Ukraine!
This holiday is dedicated to people whose profession is a symbol of dedication and professionalism, and is designed to honor the work of surgeons who save people’s lives every day.
A surgeon is that doctor whom every person is afraid to go to. But at the same time, the surgeon gives us the last hope for recovery and a full life.
The profession of a surgeon requires high professionalism, confidence, perseverance, attentiveness and composure, a firm hand and a big heart. Now, when a full-scale war is going on in our country, the trials and burdens for surgeons have become even harder, even greater. And in this difficult time, craftsmen with “golden” hands, without rest or rest, work devotedly and tirelessly. Despite any difficulties, surgeons save health and life, give patients faith in the best!
Today we would like to wish the surgeons the fastest victory, inexhaustible strength and endurance, the best possible results of work and comforting forecasts for patients, great respect, sincere gratitude, as well as family comfort and warmth, kindness and optimism.
On the occasion of Surgeon’s Day, the ONMedU library presents a new virtual exhibition containing a brief historical description, books from the library’s collection and information about modern professional digital editions of surgery presented online in public access.
