The election program of our candidate – Valerii Mykolaiovych Zaporozhan is, first of all, the expressed vitality and reality of everything described. There are no populist promises to make life bright just from November 26, but there are real prospects to improve, strengthen, beautify, accelerate and optimize our current way of life and multifaceted work. I draw your attention: absolutely real facts, life ideas, managerial accents, technological methods of solving everything planned! I am sure that such a real approach to complex and multicomponent tasks related to various aspects of the university is the first and most natural way to implement the plan.
Valerii Mykolaiovych Zaporozhan is sincere in his desire to improve the work of the University. This, of course, inspires a sense of confidence in the near future, in the long run for staff, staff of university clinics, students, support staff! In other words, the progressive and comprehensive development of the university, which is still one of the flagships of the domestic system of education, science and pedagogy, seems real!
Valerii Mykolaiovych ‘s program is systematic, vital, realistic, it clearly outlines the prospects. The university – the brainchild of his managerial and managerial activity – was first thought in his plans, and step by step was reduced to leadership positions in each of the areas of activity.
The main activity of the university is educational work. We all know the facts of history, so I will give absolutely fresh results. First, even at a very difficult time for us, when the illegal and criminal efforts of the former leadership of the Ministry of Health blocked budget revenues, the first year of university entered quite strong entrants – now sophomores. At that time, the number of contract students recruited could be compared with the same number of students in good times. Secondly, I would like to remind the present members of the conference of the labor collective about the very good results of the third-year students of the licensing exam according to the KROK-1 system and the sixth-year students according to the KROK-2 system. These are facts, but they would not exist without the coordinated educational, organizational and medical work of the ENTIRE team. All this is an integral indicator that demonstrates the success of the University staff over the past two years.
The success of our team in scientific work is well known. Scientific schools of obstetricians-gynecologists, surgeons, urologists, therapists, pediatricians, theoretical scientific school have been created, successfully function, constantly replenish and gain authority in the country and abroad. But we are not proud of that, it is a statement of fact. High scientific and publishing activity is manifested by the following facts:
– absolute indicators of publications of monographs, scientific articles, in particular in scientific publications indexed by SCOPUS and Web of Science databases, patents, among them with international recognition, methodical recommendations;
– creation and operation of the Institutional Repository, which operates on the basis of an electronic library;
– active involvement of students and departmental youth in scientific research – many of our students are winners of the Prize of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, the Pinchuk Charitable Foundation, actively speak at domestic and foreign scientific conferences, symposia;
– a scientific group of our colleagues with their proposal won a grant under the Erasmus program. It is surprisingly prestigious and many people understand how highly it characterizes our current development. The University also works on projects of Chronex (Romania), Turkish agency Tika and other foreign partners;
– I will once again remind the audience about the creation and operation of a multifunctional laboratory of medical genetics in the established innovative research institute of translational medicine. This laboratory is equipped with the latest technology.
An integral part of the University’s work is its medical work. The university’s clinics are fully operational, however, currently with strict adherence to anti-epidemic measures. In the difficult conditions of the last two years and with the current reform of the industry, we have retained the full staff of clinics and equipped them with fundamentally new equipment. Only in the last two weeks our neurosurgeons have received an operating electron microscope on balance. Trauma, surgical, anesthesiological, therapeutic, ophthalmological, urological and pediatric clinics are being equipped with new surgical equipment and, accordingly, new opportunities. One can only imagine HOW many lives will be saved by our highly qualified colleagues as a result of such improvement of clinics!
I will also mention the social aspect of the work of the University, our administration, the work of the heads of the university clinic, employees of deans’ offices, economic services. I would like to sincerely thank all our colleagues for preserving the team and its unity over the past two years. The University has a wide program of social protection of employees. As a result of each quarter, they receive a bonus for conscientious performance of official duties. At the end of the year, all employees of the University receive an award, and before the holiday – financial aid. Among the latest news – cash prizes on the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the University!
DO NOT FORGET WHAT EFFORTS THE MANAGEMENT OF THE UNIVERSITY AND ITS TEAM HAVE MADE TO IMPLEMENT OUR PLANS, UNDER WHAT CONDITIONS IT WAS DONE AND DESPITE ANYTHING WE HAVE ACHIEVED A LOT! Everyone remembers well last year, when the university began to recover step by step after the loss caused by irresponsible decisions and actions of the previous leadership of the Ministry of Health. This is the lack of budget, and rather reduced enrollment of students, and daily worries about the possible real actions of opponents, it is, after all, the real reputational damage of the university in the eyes of domestic and international professional community… This is all we worked with during the last academic year. In addition, we faced the second stage of reforming the medical sector, the glaring result of which was the real threat of preventing leading highly qualified medical professionals from performing medical work. We should also mention the pandemic of coronavirus infection, which the world and our colleagues faced in 2020, which led to significant changes in our activities with you. In addition, inherited from the time and irresponsible policy of the leadership of the Ministry of Health, we were reproached with unrepaired buildings, buildings and premises of university buildings and clinics.
Under such conditions, significant efforts were needed by the management, all employees of the university and support structures to normalize the internal and external aspects of the multifaceted activities of the university.
Today it is possible to state responsibly and with pride for the thousands of staff of our higher education institution that the university did not follow the course of time, difficult economic situation of the industry and the country as a whole, excessive ambitions of politicians and traitors and villains who joined them.
And I want to sincerely thank ALL members of our team for preserving the glorious image of the oldest medical university in the south of our country.
Our gratitude is not a tribute to etiquette! The team rallied in the face of external threats. The real successes of the last months of work confirm this!
Dear colleagues, on the eve of the end of a very difficult period for us, during which we showed ourselves, the people of the city, the whole country, the medical community that we have our own character, that we profess human values, that we do not accept Jews and traitors and that we side by side as one team ALWAYS!
I am confident and I call on the whole teaching staff to do this: we have successfully coped with a difficult task, you and I have withstood a difficult struggle with the Ministry and internal enemies. One thing remains: to honor what has been started – calmly and with dignity, inherent in the staff of the University, to choose the rector, whose candidacy we have one. And it is inviolable!
