A wall memorial to ONMedU graduate Vitalii Sinenko was unveiled

On October 17, a wall memorial was inaugurated at the building of Odesa Lyceum No. 89 to Hero Vitalii Sinenko, who studied here, where his path to the big world began: choosing his dream profession, entering Odesa National Medical University, teaching and research work, and defending his PhD thesis. Vitalii was a pediatrician by specialty, but he sought not only to treat children, but also to help married couples become happy parents — he improved in the complex science of embryology.

Serious, decent, responsible. Such a person could not remain indifferent when trouble broke into our home. From the first days of the war, Vitaliiy provided medical aid to wounded soldiers, participated in the evacuation of the civilian population from the suburbs of Kyiv – Gostomel, Irpen, Buchi.

In March 2022, Vitaly voluntarily joined the ranks of the Armed Forces. Took part in hostilities in the Bakhmut area. He was awarded the medal “For Faithful Service” and the Cross “Honor and Glory”.

Vitaliy Synenko, lieutenant of the medical service, head of the medical service of the 243rd battalion of the 241st brigade of the TRO of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, died on May 16, 2023, during the evacuation of wounded soldiers from the front line…

Vitalii’s classmates, parents, friends, colleagues, teachers and senior students of the lyceum gathered for the opening of the wall memorial. They said many kind words about the deceased. Each of those present placed a flower at the wall memorial, paying well-deserved respect to the hero.
