ONMedU representatives visited educational institutions in Odesa region

Odessa National Medical University continues its career guidance work among graduates of Odesa and the region. Meetings with graduates of schools, lyceums, and medical colleges were held throughout the academic year — both directly at the university and in institutions in the regions.

Recently, teachers, interns, and representatives of the Student Government visited the lyceum of the village of Dobroslav, where they met with graduates who dream of becoming doctors. They were joined by students from schools in two neighboring villages — Troyandovoye and Kremydivka. More than 100 graduates had the opportunity to talk to ONMedU representatives, who interested potential applicants in information about medical specialties, about the features of admission and the advantages of studying at various faculties, about the social significance of the medical profession, career opportunities, and about student life.

And some young men and women shared their dreams and plans. For example, 11th grade student Kira Tsymbal said that she dreams of becoming a pharmacist. She learned about this profession and studying at the university from a friend who studies at the Faculty of Pharmacy of ONMedU and is satisfied with the interesting theoretical training and practice.

“That’s why I also decided to enter the Faculty of Pharmacy,” Kira said confidently.

In the city of Pivdennye, the ONMedU team met with graduates of Lyceum No. 3 “Author’s School of M. P. Guzyk”, which was attended by about 50 students.

The information received interested the young residents of Dobroslav and Pivdennye, and participation in trainings on basic life support and stopping bleeding with a tourniquet left a vivid impression.

When I tried to do these manipulations for the first time, under the guidance of experienced doctors, I realized how important it is to have such skills, especially now, during martial law, – shared his impressions of the student of Kremydiv school Denis. – I really liked everything, especially the fact that a person’s life and health may depend on me. This is exactly what I dreamed of! I will enter the medical faculty.
We are sure that it will be so, and the dream of Kira, Denis and many graduates will come true, and very soon they will become students to ONMedU.

We remind you that on May 6, our university is holding an Open Door Day within its walls. Future applicants will meet with representatives of the administration, deans and teachers, get acquainted with the departments, laboratories, visit museums, learn about the 125-year history of one of the famous medical educational institutions of Ukraine.

We are waiting for everyone who wants to become a doctor!
