Event initiated by the Mental Health Center of Odessa National Medical University
On April 30, an event was held on the initiative of the Mental Health Center of ONMedU, which was attended by 1st-4th year higher education seekers, interns, master’s degree seekers in the specialty “Psychology” and teachers of the Department of Psychiatry, Narcology, Medical Psychology and Psychotherapy.
The topic of the meeting is emotional resilience. The head of the department, Professor Yevhen Opria, opened the event with a report “Psychological foundations of interaction between teachers and students during the educational process in higher medical education institutions”.
Coordinator of the Mental Health Center, Associate Professor Tetiana Chernova, summed up and announced the next events.
The following students gave presentations: Anastasia Perchyk — “Emotional Resilience and a Diary of Emotions”, Dmytro Pylypenko — “Immersion in Virtual Reality and Social Networks. Gaming”, Oleg Myakishev — “Prevention of Substance Use. The Role of Youth in Forming a Healthy Lifestyle”, Diana Borshch — “The Influence of Emotional State on Suicidal Behavior”.
The “Diary of Emotional Resilience” was presented, and an anonymous survey of ONMedU students was announced and opened to identify emotional burnout. Keeping a diary is a great way to make sure that your memories and experiences remain alive. It allows you to track your past and learn from your mistakes. It can also be extremely therapeutic. Not only for recording fun and adventurous moments, but also sad and scary moments.
