On April 9, an open table tennis tournament was held at ONMedU Sports Complex, in which both students and representatives of the teaching staff participated.
The tournament was opened by the head of the Department of Physical Rehabilitation, Sports Medicine and Physical Education, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Olha Yushkivska, who congratulated the participants on the start of the event, wished everyone fair play and sports inspiration.
Representatives of the Student Council also joined the welcoming speech: the head of the ONMedU student government, Sofia Matyushenko, and the head of the sports and recreation commission, Yulia Khrapova emphasized the importance of sports initiatives at the university and called on student youth to actively participate in such events.
As the participants noted, the competition was held at a high organizational level, in a warm but competitive atmosphere. The tournament, which gave the participants a lot of positive emotions, is planned to be held annually to strengthen the team spirit of the university community.
According to the results of the competition, the winners were determined in two categories of participants:
Women:
1st place — Yulia KHRAPOVA, 5th year student
2nd place — Lalina BONDARENKO, 1st year student
3rd place — Kristina YEGIAZARYAN, 1st year student
Men:
1st place — Oleksandr CHORNII, young scientist
2nd place — Ilya GANGURIAN, 1st year student
3rd place — Dmytro KARAKONSTANTIN, assistant professor of the Department of Simulation Medical Technologies
