On October 4, 2024, the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Clinical Anatomy and Pathological Physiology: Significance for the Formation of the Clinical Thinking of the Future Doctor” was held remotely at Odesa National Medical University.
This scientific event is being held for the second year in a row by the staff of the Department of Human Anatomy under the leadership of the Head of the Department, Honored Education Worker of Ukraine, Acting President of the Scientific Society of Anatomists, Histologists, Embryologists and Topographic Anatomists of Ukraine, Professor Olena Appelhans and the Department of General and Clinical Pathological Physiology named after V.V. Podvysotskyi under the leadership of the head of the department, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, President of the Ukrainian Scientific Society of Pathophysiologists, Professor Ruslan Vastianov.
The conference was attended by scientists, teachers, students and specialists in the medical field, who reported the results of their own research and listened with pleasure to meaningful reports devoted to current scientific topics – the problems and prospects of teaching the disciplines “Clinical Anatomy” and “Pathological Physiology” to future doctors.
Professors Olena Appelhans and Ruslan Vastyanov opened the conference and gave an introductory speech.
The most important aspects of the development of the educational discipline “Clinical Anatomy and Operative Surgery” in the current conditions were reported by the head of the Department of Anatomy with Clinical Anatomy and Operative Surgery of the Poltava State Medical University, Professor Serhiy Bilash. He raised the difficult issue of reducing the hours of practical training in clinical anatomy and the difficulties of distance learning of future doctors.
The head of the Department of Vertebrate Biomorphology named after Acad. V. G. Kasyanenko of the National University of Bioresources and Nature Management of Ukraine, Professor Oleg Melnyk. gave a meaningful justification of the importance of the selection of a separate direction of morphology – biomorphology in his report.
Report of the head of the Department of Operative Surgery with Topographic Anatomy of Lviv National Medical University named after Danyla Halytskyi, Doctor of Medicine, Professor Zoryana Masnaya on the topic “The problem of “norms” in modern medicine – the variability of the structure of the human body and the possibility of its study” aroused great interest not only among experienced morphologists and doctors, but also among medical students and students of dentistryl faculties.
The integrative function of translational medicine, as a bridge from theoretical knowledge to their practical use, was presented in his report by the head of the Department of General and Clinical Pathological Physiology named after V.V. Professor Ruslan Vastyanov .
The head of the Department of Human Anatomy of ONMedU, Professor Olena Appelhans, expressed her own vision of the strategy for the development of Clinical Anatomy and the problems that hinder its implementation.
Oleksandr Stoyanov, the head of the Odesa Regional Society of Neurologists, Honored Inventor of Ukraine, professor of the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery of ONMedU, revealed unknown aspects of the development of Georgian neuroanatomy.
The prospects of medical education with regard to the teaching of clinical anatomy and operative surgery were discussed in the report of the head of the department of operative surgery and clinical anatomy of Vinnytsia National Medical University named after M.M. Pirogov, Professor Volodymyr Pivtorak.
Mykhailo Lyutenko, an assistant at the Department of Human Anatomy of the Kharkiv National Medical University, spoke about the significance and perspective of the diaphonization method in the scientific research of morphologists.
The report of the associate professor of the department of histology and embryology of the National Medical University named after O.O. Bogomolets Volodymyr Raskaley was dedicated to the significance of the works of M.I. Pirogov for the development of clinical anatomy.
It should be noted that all reports were extremely interesting, relevant, professionally designed in the form of multimedia presentations. Analyzing the information presented by the speakers at the conference, the organizers planned further steps to implement the set tasks in order to improve the quality of training of future doctors for practical clinical work.
According to the results of the All-Ukrainian scientific and practical conference, all participants who successfully passed the test on the topic of the conference received individual certificates with 10 CPD(continuous professional development) points.
