Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE)

The objective structured clinical exam (OSCE) is a component of the second stage of the Unified state qualification exam, which is widely used in Ukrainian medical and vocational high schools. This form of attestation of graduates was introduced in 2019 by order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. The main purpose of the exam is to check the level of professional competencies formation acquired in clinical departments during training, the student’s ability to correctly make a decision regarding the use of a particular method of diagnosis or treatment in a certain clinical situation, and the opportunity to demonstrate his mastery of this method. The leadership of ONMedU has created all the necessary conditions for improving the quality of students’ knowledge and skills. On the basis of the educational and production complex of innovative learning and informatization technologies, preparation for  OSCE was organized. According to Yuriy Petrovskyi, the head of the complex, each student has the opportunity to practice more than 60 practical skills on modern simulators with the help of teachers from various departments of the university.
