Under the leadership of Valerii Zaporozhan ONMedU became the second in the ranking of the best universities in Odesa

Under the leadership of Academician Valerii Zaporozhan, Odessa National Medical University entered the ranking of the best institutions of higher education in Ukraine. The consolidated rating was published by the information resource “Osvita.ua”.

In particular, ONMedU took the second place among the universities of Odesa region and the 35th place in the general rating of higher education institutions of Ukraine.

In forming the rating table, the compilers took into account current trends in Ukrainian and world higher education, which have changed, including due to the impact of the COVID-2019 pandemic. The authors of the rating note that they were guided by the principle of ensuring openness, transparency, objectivity and independence of ranking.

Odessa Medical University is one of the oldest and at the same time the most progressive universities in Ukraine, a member of the International Association of Universities and the International Scientific Committee of UNESCO. Under the leadership of Valerii Mykolayovych Zaporozhan, ONMedU was the first in Ukraine to switch to English-language teaching, revive university clinics, and become a leader in simulation training. Our Alma Mater unites 7 faculties, 60 departments, 48 ​​clinical bases. There are 1184 teachers and 6.5 thousand Ukrainian and foreign students. The university’s high positions in the rankings are the result of the coordinated daily work of the entire team of many thousands. We are convinced that our greatest achievements are ahead.
