100 Outstanding Graduates (Vansovych Vitaliy Yevhenyovych)

– professor, doctor of medical sciences, surgeon of the highest category, member of the European Association of Endoscopic Surgeons.
In 1983 he graduated from the medical faculty of Odessa Medical Institute named after M. I. Pirogov, and then studied in the clinical residency at the Department of Surgical Diseases No. 3. After graduating, Vitaliy Yevhenyovych worked as an urgent surgeon, and then -an attending physician of the Second Surgical Department of the CCH №2(City Clinical Hospital) in Odessa.
In 1990 he was accepted as an assistant of the Department of General Surgery of Odessa Medical Institute named after M.I. Pirogov, and in 1992 received a Ph.D. degree in medical sciences when he defended his dissertation on the topic: “Prevention of Acute Postoperative Pancreatitis with Proteinuria Drugs”.
Since 2000, Vitaliy Yevgenyevich has been an associate professor of the Department of General Surgery. In 2008 he was appointed Head of the Second Surgical Department of City Clinical Hospital №9. The following year he defended his thesis on “Pathogenesis, Prognosis, Prevention and Treatment of the Adhesive Disease”.
Vansovych Vitaliy Yevhenovych specializes in laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery, abdominal surgery, hernia surgery, thyroid gland surgery.
In 2010, he was elected professor of the Department of General Surgery at Odessa National Medical University.
Vitaly Ye. has more than 120 printed works, being the author of 25 patents for invention.
The professor operates on patients every day, and each of them is an unpredictable development of events. Therefore, he says: “Even the simplest at first glance operation is not the reason to relax. Surgeons are not in vain joking about the fact that every day the operation is one and the same, and the work is different.”
At present, Vancevich Vitaliy Yevgenovich works as a surgeon at Odrex Clinic, being the head of the second surgical department of the Multifaceted Medical Centre of ONMedU, as well as at the Department of Robotic and Endoscopic Surgery.
