Changes in the Curriculum of the Discipline “Obstetrics and Gynecology” are the Requirement of Time

An All-Ukrainian Meeting of Heads and Representatives of the One –Field Departments of Ukraine was held on the basis of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 1 (Head – Professor I.Z.Gladchuk) of Odessa National Medical University on May 19, 2018.

Associate professor T.V. Demchenko (“Dnipropetrovsk Medical Academy of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine”) presented a draft of a new standard curriculum for the preparation of specialists of the second (master’s) level of higher education in the field of knowledge 22 “Health Protection” in higher education institutions of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine in the specialty 222 “Medicine”, educational qualification ” Master of Medicine “, professional qualification” Physician”.

The head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Zaporizhzhya State Medical University Professor Yu.Ya. Krut determined the problems of having training practice at the 4th and 5th years and the need to revise the typical training practice program.

The issue of the relevance of textbooks, manuals to current international medical standards and the creation of a working group to solve this issue were discussed.
