XXI Scientific and practical conference “Modern achievements of sports medicine, physical education and valeology – 2022” was held on October 6-7, 2022 which was dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the department of physical rehabilitation, sports medicine, physical education and valeology of ONMedU this year. Employees of the department are both active participants and organizers of this professional event, which unites specialists in physical and rehabilitation medicine, sports doctors and other specialists – members of a multidisciplinary team for the rehabilitation of patients of various profiles, or interested in this direction.

According to the tradition of the conference, a professional meeting of the heads of single-speciality departments of universities of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine III-IV levels of accreditation was held, at which topical issues of organization and peculiarities of teaching the discipline “Physical and rehabilitation medicine” and other related disciplines were discussed at the training of multidisciplinary team specialists.

The speakers of the conference paid attention to some topical issues of sports medicine and rehabilitation of patients with various pathologies, rehabilitation methods, as well as rehabilitation of military personnel at various stages.

During two days, 22 reports were heard (original studies, clinical cases, methodological ones). The total number of conference participants on the first day was 142 people, and on the second day – 62 people.

The collection contains the materials of the conference, and highlights issues of scientific research by leading specialists in the field of sports medicine, physical rehabilitation, valeology, physical education and practical health care. The results of the use of new diagnostic and treatment technologies in everyday work, as well as the achievements of fundamental research, are presented.
